ANERI WINERY IN THE HEART OF AMARONE PRODUCTION

In San Pietro in Cariano, in the area that is the heart of classic Amarone production, is the new Cantina Aneri.

It was November 1997 when he founded his winery, entrusting his hopes for success to a product, prosecco, which, he has always said, “is an Italian wine par excellence, a product that everyone envies us because it is born in a delimited area, near Venice, and has no equal in the world.” When hopes became certainty, success was also consolidated through do-it-yourself marketing, Giancarlo Aneri expanded the range, but always remained true to his credo: production of great quality, even if limited. Over the years, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Prosecco Biological Leone and above all, Amarone were thus born.

It is precisely Aneri Amarone, personalized in both packaging and label, that has been Italy’s calling card with the world’s Greats (see during the Signing of the European Constitution in Rome in 2004, G8 in L’Aquila in 2009, G20 in Rome in 2021). It has been so in practically every meeting of Heads of State and Government held in our country and the rest of the world: with this wine Clinton, Bush, Obama and Biden, Putin (when he was still welcome in the international community), Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Angela Merkel, Sarkozy, Macron and Boris Johnson, Trudeau and many other Presidents or Prime Ministers have toasted. As well, of course, as many other figures in entertainment, culture or sports.
